Accompanied by a comedic Italian voice, Ellen incorporated key marketing points while preparing the sauce in a microwave. The live studio audience received a "Bertolli Nights In" gift package, while 72,000 home viewers submitted entries for the online giveaway. Ellentv.com drove visitors to a customized microsite that gave them access to Ellen's Recipe page, links to the Bertolli brand site and other offers. The Bertolli site received over 13,000 click-throughs as a result. |
